Researching Apprenticeships

 
Use the following links to learn about the wide range of skilled trades that are available as possible careers.

Once you have logged onto the Career Cruising site, select Explore Education and Training.

Then select Apprenticeship Training.

Select a Province leads to links for local apprenticeship offices and some helpful government web sites that contain information on apprenticeships.

Apprenticeship Search contains information on a wide range of apprenticeships.

If you wish, you can use the Explore Apprenticeships Activity to explore apprenticeships as a possible career option.

  • Apprenticesearch is a joint project sponsored by Human Resources Development Canada (HRSDC) and the Halton Industry Education Council (HIEC).  In addition to providing excellent profiles on many apprenticeships, this site includes information on prerequisite high school courses and wages.
  • Made With the Trades provides job descriptions, educational requirements, length of training, pay scales and interviews on 30 construction trades.
