Jan 30 - Feb 1              I AM THE LIFE

* The tree of life (Genesis 2 : 4-9; Genesis 3 : 22- 24)

* The path of life (Psalm 16)

* The fountain of life (Psalm 36)

 

Feb 4 - Feb 8               ECCLESIASTES

* No one can comprehend what goes on under the sun. (Ecclesiastes 8 :14-17)

* Our lives - God's gifts (Ecclesiastes 9 : 7 - 10)

* To be wise in your own eyes is foolishness (Ecclesiastes 10 : 10 - 15)

* Live and work in the expectation of Christ. (Ecclesiastes 11 : 1 - 10)

* Here is the conclusion of the matter: Fear God and keep his commandments (Ecclesiastes 12 : 9 - 14)

 

Feb 11 - 15                  YOU SHALL NOT STEAL

* Remember the LORD your God, for it is he who gives you the ability to produce wealth (Deut 8:10-18)

* Be rich toward God (Luke 12: 13-21)

* Ill-gotten treasures will not last. (Micah 6:9-15)

* The LORD cancels debts, and so must Israel. (Deut. 15:1-6)

* Stealing hearts of people is sin too! (2 Sam 15:1-6)

 

Feb 18 - 22                  WORK

* Work is a calling given by the Lord (Gen 1:26-30)

* Sin has made our work more difficult.(Gen 3:16-19)

* In Christ our work is again pleasing to God (2 Thess 3 : 6 - 13)

* God hates laziness (Proverbs 6 : 6 - 11; Proverbs 26 : 13 - 16)

*`We are unworthy servants; we have only done our duty.' (Luke 17:7-10)

 

Feb 25 - Feb 29                       OUR ENEMY

* We need to know the enemy (Ephesians 6: 10-18)

* His Names (John 8 : 44; Rev. 12:9-10)

* His origin (Isa 14 : 12 - 15; Rev 12:7-9)

* His position (Rev. 9:1-11)

* His power (2 Cor 4 : 3-6; Ephesians 2 : 1-2)

 

Mar 3 - Mar 7                          OUR ENEMY

* His activities (2 Cor 11 : 13-15; 2 Thess 2 : 9-12)

* His activities (Rev. 12 : 13-17)

* His judgment and His defeat (Col 2 : 9-15)

* His doom (Rev. 19:19-21; Rev. 20:7-10)

* What does this mean for us - our comfort (1 Peter 5 : 8 - 11)

 

 

Mar 17 - Mar 20                      THE LAMB

* The Lamb of God, takes away the sin of the world! (John 1 : 29 -36)

* Christ, our Passover lamb, has been sacrificed. (1 Cor 5:6-11)

* He was led like a sheep to the slaughter (Acts 8:26-35)

* Christ, a lamb without blemish or defect. (1 Peter 1:17-21)

 

Mar 25 - 28                             CHRIST'S RESURRECTION IN THE N.T.

* But the one whom God raised from the dead did not see decay. (Acts 13:32-39)

* Believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved (Romans 10:8-13)

* He will raise us also - therefore use your body well (1 Cor 6 : 12 - 17)

* Our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all. (2 Cor 4 : 13 -18)

 

Mar 31 - Apr 4                        PAUL'S JOURNEY TO ROME

* The reason for the journey (Acts 25:6-12)

* The first part of the journey (Acts 27 : 1 - 12; 21 - 26)

* The Shipwreck (Acts 27: 33-44)

* On Malta (Acts 28:1-10)

* In Rome. (Acts 28:23-31)

 

Apr 7 - Apr 11                        EZRA / NEHEMIAH

* The LORD lets the people go home (Ezra 1:1-8)

* First things first - rebuilding the temple (Ezra 3:3-13)

* The antithesis (Ezra 4:1-6)

* Help in high places (Ezra 6:13-15; Ezra 6:19-22)

* Back to the old sins! (Ezra 9:1-6 & 10 - 15)

 

Apr 14 - Apr 18                      EZRA / NEHEMIAH

* A call to repent (Ezra 10: 7- 14)

* What is a city without walls? (Neh 2:11-18)

* Sword and trowel in hand! (Neh 4:1-9;Neh 4:16-20)

* The battle against injustice. (Neh 5:1-13)

* The sound of rejoicing in Jerusalem could be heard far away. (Neh 12:27-31 & 38 - 43)

 

Apr 21 - Apr 25                      HALLOWED BE YOUR NAME

* "Hallowed be Your Name" (Ezekiel 39:25-29)

* "Grant us first of all that we may rightly know You, " (Jer 31:31-34)

* "in all Your works, in which shine forth Your almighty power, wisdom, goodness, righteousness, mercy, and truth." (Psalm  8)

* 'and sanctify, glorify, and praise You' (Rom 11:33-36)

* "so direct our whole life - our thoughts, words, and actions - that Your Name is not blasphemed because of us but always honoured and praised." (Ezekiel 36:16-23)

 

Apr 28 - May  2                      ASCENSION AND JOY

* Who is this King of glory? (Psalm 24)

*Clap your hands, all you nations (Psalm 47)

* May God arise (Psalm 68:1 - 4 & 15 - 21)

* The Lord is at your right hand; (Psalm 110)

* Kiss the Son (Psalm 2)

 

May 5 - May 9            THE HOLY SPIRIT AND JOY

* The Holy Spirit restores the joy of salvation (Psalm 51)

* The Kingdom of God is peace and joy in the Holy Spirit (Rom 14 : 13 18)

* Joy will overflow by the power of the Holy Spirit (Rom 15:7-13)

* The love of the Spirit increases our joy (Rom 15: 30 - 33)

* Our Savior, full of joy through the Holy Spirit (Luke 10: 21 - 24)

 

May 12 - 16                 DIFFERENT TONGUES

* A faithful tongue - a lying tongue (Proverbs 6:16-21)

* Truthful lips - a lying tongue (Proverbs 12:17-23)

* A righteous tongue - a wicked tongue (Proverbs 10: 17 - 21, 31 - 32)

* A reliable tongue - a false tongue (Proverbs 25:11-20)

* A wise tongue - a deceitful tongue (Proverbs 15 : 1 - 4)

 

May 19 - May 23        YOU SHALL NOT GIVE FALSE TESTIMONY

* The power of a witness (Deut 17:2-7;Deut 19:15-21)

* Keep your tongue from evil (1 Peter 3:8-12)

* No place for the lie in the temple of the Holy Spirit (Acts 5:1-11)

* A small member with great power (James 3:1-12)

* Do not give the devil a foothold (Ephesians 4: 25-32)

 

May 26 - May 30        FLOWERS

* Israel will blossom like a lily (Hosea 14: 1 - 9)

June 2 - June 6            TULIP

* Unconditional election (Deut 7:6-11)

* "Limited" atonement (John 10:14-18 & 25-30)

* Invincible Grace (Acts 9:1-6 & 15-19)

* Perseverance of the Saints (Rom 8:31-39)

 

June 9 - June 12          PSALM 119

* Lasting riches (Palm 119 : 65 - 72)

* The Bible is the manual for life (Psalm 119 : 73 - 80)

* Strength to go on (Psalm 119 : 81 - 88)

* Solidity (Psalm 119 : 89 - 96)
