CHC2D - Canadian History in the Twentieth Century
Grade 10, Academic
This course explores Canada's participation in global events and traces our development as a country through changes in population, economy, and technology. Students will analyse the elements that constitute Canadian identity and study the evolution of political and social structures. They will also learn to develop and support a thesis, conduct research and analysis, and effectively communicate the results of their inquiries.

CHC2P - Canadian History in the Twentieth Century
Grade 10, Applied
This course traces Canadian history throughout the twentieth century. Students will learn about various expressions of Canadian identity, the stories of individuals and communities, and changes in political and social structures.

CHW3M - World History to the Sixteenth Century
Grade 11, University/College Preparation
This course will pay special attention to the political, cultural, and economic structures and historical forces that form the foundation of the modern world. Students will examine the influence of selected individuals and groups and will develop skills of historical inquiry and analysis.

CHH3C--Canadian History and Politics Since 1945
Grade 11, College Preparation
This course examines aspects of Canadian history since 1945, focusing on issues that are of particular relevance today. Students will analyse the history of a broad range of Canadian social, political, and economic issues. They will also be given the opportunity to develop their communications skills and their knowledge of pertinent topics so that they can discuss current issues effectively.

CHH3E-Canadian History and Politics Since 1945
Grade 11-Workplace Preparation
This course examines Canadian issues in the period from the end of World War II to the present. Students will study a broad range of Canadian social, political, and economic topics. In addition, students will learn about historical forces that might affect their civic responsibilities and their economic and social conditions.

CHY4U - World History: The West and the World
Grade 12, University Preparation
This course investigates the major trends in Western civilization and world history from the sixteenth century to the present. Students will learn about the interaction between the emerging West and other regions of the world and about the development of modern social, political, and economic systems.

CHY4C - World History: The West and the World
Grade 12, College Preparation
This course explores the history of the world since the sixteenth century, emphasizing the interaction between the emerging West and other regions of the world. Students will learn about a variety of economic, social, and political systems and the changes they have undergone over time. Students will develop an appreciation of the forces that have formed our modern world.
