Guido de Brès Orchestra
This instrumental ensemble was started in 2005. In this club any student with the ability to play instrumental music can participate and contribute to a variety of public performances. This ensemble includes string instruments, wind instruments, percussion and piano. Over the years orchestra has made vital contributions to school assemblies, graduation ceremonies and drama productions. Some examples include: "Guido Benefit Concert 2005", "Anne of Green Gables" 2007, Anchor Benefit Concert in Guelph 2008, "Turn Back the Clock" 2009.
Most Recently a small chamber ensemble with orchestra members contributed to Arts Alive 2010 wich took place on April 30. The theme of this presentation was "The Golden Ratio". Pieces the orchestra performed included: "Romans Doxology", "Psalm 8 - Genevan", and "Ordinary Miracle"
BACK2U Praise band
Founded in 2008, this ensemble of singers and musicians specialize in the performance of Contemporary Worship music. The Band name is actually an acronym for: "Band Acknowledging Christ's Kingship". This group has contributed to both graduation ceremonies and school assemblies, and has also performed at outreach evenings organized by churches in Hamilton and Burlington. Most recently BACK2U was one of the headliners of a benefit concert for Haiti that took place earlier this year.
